The general steps to earn the CPGE™ is to submit an application online, take the 3-hour class online or in-person, then successfully complete the 30-question test.

Learning Resources

The CPGE™ includes a 3-hour class. The curriculum is crafted to provide a comprehensive framework for mastering guest service excellence.

Designed by industry veterans, the curriculum covers essential topics that address real-world challenges in guest interaction. The CPGE™ emphasizes actionable techniques for problem-solving and innovation, ensuring that participants are prepared to handle guest-related situations with confidence and poise. Through a blend of theoretical insights and practical application, the program equips learners with the skills to not only meet but exceed guest expectations at every turn.

Certification Exam

The certification test consists of 30 multiple-choice questions to be taken online. The passing score is 70%; retakes are permitted without a waiting period with a fee, but all attempts must be completed within 90 days.

Recertification

Recertification, with a fee, is required (no further exams required) five years after earning the certification. Recertification includes a 1-hour refresher class delivered online.
