The general steps to earn the CPGE™ is to submit an application online, take the 3-hour class in-person, then successfully complete the 30-question test.

The CPGE™ includes a 3-hour class. The curriculum is crafted to provide both businesses and individuals with a comprehensive framework for mastering guest service excellence.

Certification Exam

The certification test consists of 30 multiple-choice questions, can be taken online or at in-person classes. The passing score is 70%; retakes are permitted without a waiting period with a fee, but all attempts must be completed within 90 days.

Recertification

Recertification, with a fee, is required (no further exams required) five years after earning the certification. Recertification includes a 1-hour refresher class delivered online.

Time Allowed

The training and certification test are both delivered within the 3-hour in-class session.
